Damien was rescued as a puppy and has been living in foster care ever since. While he\u2019s a sweet and affectionate boy with the people he trusts, he\u2019s also sensitive and insecure around strangers, which has made it challenging to find him the right adoptive home. He doesn\u2019t enjoy interacting with unfamiliar individuals and may snap if he feels cornered or threatened. He\u2019s also wary of children but gets along well with other dogs.<\/p>\n
Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers has fostered Damien for several years now, providing him with a stable and loving environment where he feels safe. The bond they share is deep and built on patience and understanding\u2014something Damien truly needs.<\/p>\n
Damien is a quiet, low-energy dog who\u2019s content with the simple things in life: food, walks, sleep, and chew toys. He knows basic commands like \u201csit,\u201d \u201ccome,\u201d \u201cno,\u201d and \u201cpaw,\u201d and he walks reasonably well on leash. He\u2019s grass-trained and enjoys his daily strolls.<\/p>\n
We know Damien isn\u2019t the easiest dog to place\u2014but we also know he\u2019s worth the time. In the right home, with a patient and understanding adopter, Damien will be able to feel safe, loved, and truly at home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
