Lily is a gentle, timid girl who has come a long way since first arriving at our shelter. When she was newly rescued, she would tremble in fear whenever someone approached. But thanks to the consistent care and patience of our staff and volunteers, Lily is slowly learning that humans aren’t so scary after all.
After several months of gentle exposure and training, Lily made a big leap—she learned to walk on leash and moved into a foster home. There, she has blossomed beautifully. She now enjoys the comfort of a real home and the company of her foster siblings—both dogs and cats!
Every small step Lily takes is a heartwarming milestone. From greeting her fosterer at the door to exploring her surroundings with newfound curiosity, she’s showing us that she’s ready to start trusting the world. We suspect her confidence is growing with the help of her doggy friends, and it’s been so lovely to watch her learn through them.
Lily will need a patient and understanding family who can give her the time and space to continue building confidence. In return, she’ll reward you with the quiet joy of watching a once-fearful dog discover the happiness of home.
