Buttercup’s story is a heartbreaking one. Adopted as a puppy, she spent most of her life in a home—but at 12 years old, she was returned to the shelter due to family circumstances. Despite it all, Buttercup remains the sweetest girl, with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love.
She adores pats, yummy treats, and being around people who show her kindness. Buttercup walks well on leash, knows basic commands, and is an easygoing companion who asks for very little—just a safe, loving place to call home.
Buttercup recently had a check-up at the vet, where her liver readings were found to be slightly elevated. She is currently on liver supplements and will need a follow-up review in about six months. Thankfully, she’s otherwise in good spirits and continues to enjoy her walks and treats like any happy senior pup.
Senior dogs like Buttercup have so much love to give. We hope someone sees the beauty in giving her the peaceful, comfortable retirement she so truly deserves.
