| Ah Leng is one of our senior dogs from the Jurong Island shelter. In her younger days, she was known for being tough and a little fierce — but with age and a few health scares, she softened and began to trust the people caring for her.
A few weeks ago, Ah Leng suddenly started collapsing and couldn’t get up. She had to be warded at the vet, where she lay mostly on one side and could only eat when handfed. It was heartbreaking to see. She eventually stabilised enough to be discharged, but we knew the shelter wasn’t the right place for her anymore — she needed special care and comfort. Thanks to Fur Folks Home, a palliative care facility for elderly and sick dogs, Ah Leng had a place to go. And under their gentle care, she’s been improving steadily — she can now stand on her own again! But the cost of boarding is high, and with limited funds, we’re hoping to find a foster or forever home for Ah Leng. 💛 If you can open your home and heart to this old girl, please reach out. |
