Damien was rescued as a puppy and has been living in foster care ever since. While he’s a sweet and affectionate boy with the people he trusts, he’s also sensitive and insecure around strangers, which has made it challenging to find him the right adoptive home. He doesn’t enjoy interacting with unfamiliar individuals and may snap if he feels cornered or threatened. He’s also wary of children but gets along well with other dogs.
Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers has fostered Damien for several years now, providing him with a stable and loving environment where he feels safe. The bond they share is deep and built on patience and understanding—something Damien truly needs.
Damien is a quiet, low-energy dog who’s content with the simple things in life: food, walks, sleep, and chew toys. He knows basic commands like “sit,” “come,” “no,” and “paw,” and he walks reasonably well on leash. He’s grass-trained and enjoys his daily strolls.
We know Damien isn’t the easiest dog to place—but we also know he’s worth the time. In the right home, with a patient and understanding adopter, Damien will be able to feel safe, loved, and truly at home.
